View, Print or Copy History as Text
How do I view file history as text?
SnapGene version 5.3 and later allow History information to be displayed or printed as text.
View History

Open a file, and click on the "History" tab to view the file History. By default the History will be shown graphically as linked "maps".

Click the "Text" tab to view the History in Text format.

Click a blue hyperlink to open an ancestral file as a new stand-alone file.
Print History

Open a file with History information. Click menu File → Print, check the option to print the "History tree".
Copy History Text to the Clipboard

Open a file with associated history information. Switch to the "History" view and click Edit → Copy History. The history information will be copied to the clipboard as plain text for pasting in another program that accepts text as input.
