Create an RNA File
How do I work with RNA files in SnapGene?
SnapGene 5.3 and later have a specific RNA file type (extension .rna). Earlier versions of SnapGene will import RNA sequences as DNA.
Set "Sequence Type" to RNA.
Enter a sequence comprising A, G, C or U (uracil).
Set the "Topology" to "Single-Stranded" or "Double-Stranded" and set whether the new sequence is "Linear" or "Circular".
Set the "File Name", then click OK to create a new RNA sequence.
Click File → Save to save the new sequence to an appropriate location on your computer.
